Servanthood is simple, really--a state of grace-filled response to all that was sacrificed for our sake. One definition is found in Basin Theology:
After condemning Christ, Pilate called for a basin and washed his hands of any guilt. When Jesus called for a basin, it was to wash His disciples' feet.
